Best onion rings anywhere. Very limited seating but there are tables for outdoor seating. But trust me on this, probably the best burger you can find in town. The ones with the shop's DBS sauce are really special. But, getting back to the main thrust of my review, the onion rings served there are food for the gods. Very little breading means you get to really taste the onions. .
Well, I went over to Danny's Burger Shack tonight where I ran into a Drunken Rancher! This is one bad boy of a hamburger. I went with the double and probably should have stayed with the single. All kinds of flavors and textures going on in this burger. And all I can say is if you choose to order one of these you had better either bring a towel or better yet be ready to lick your fingers all the way up to your elbows! This bad boy is messy! Well done Danny's Burger Shack! Well done indeed! On a Wednesday evening, I am eating a monster burger and some tasty O'rings!
This has become a frequent eats in my family. We love their burgers & fries. They're fast and kind of a no frills place in the best way possible. I always get the beef caprice but can't wait to try the other burgers they have to offer. The staff is always very friendly! It's a great addition to the Northland
Easily the best buger in kc and onion rings are they best I've ever had, I've not had a bad ever, very consistent quality.
We got thru the lunch rush line pretty quickly. The tots are crispy and a perfect complement to the chicken caprese sandwich. Loved the balsamic and tomato topping. The woman at the counter was very friendly and the space is clean (and relatively small).
This was one of the best burgers that I've had in a minute. I'd been wanting to check them out for a while and I was craving a burger. It was also Franco's 4th birthday and he loves a good burger. I saw that Danny's had a doggo burger so I made the trek north. I ordered online and picked it up. Online ordering was easy and the food was ready to go when I arrived. Everything was included and the order was accurate. I ordered a doggo burger with cheese for the birthday dog. It's a good sized patty-3oz. And I liked that there was only the bottom bun. Franco inhaled it and would've gladly eaten more. He gave it two giant paws up. I decided to try the DBS Classic as a double. The burger was delicious. It was big and juicy and everything you could want in a burger. I'd definitely order it again. We also ordered fries and tots. I preferred the tots but both were good. We also had to try the chicken so we ordered an 8pc chicken bite. The chicken was crispy and juicy. I would try the chicken sandwich or even the tenders. Everything we tried was delicious and we will definitely return.
Soooo...I grew up eating in-n-out and I get it... a lot of people don't understand the buzz about in-n-out however, if you are one of those people who will F$&* UP a 4x4 animal style (like me), then you can understand how devastating it was for me to move to from Los Angeles, CA to Parkville, MO and realize there is no in-n-out. I was slightly devastated, but my kids like it here, so OKAY. Anyway, for almost two years I was looking for some alternatives and I'm happy to say I found them. Freddy's, Town Topic, Whalburgers, Nick and Jakes, Whataburger... they did the job. NOW let me talk about Dannys Moaf$@*in Burger Shack. This spot is NOT an alternative to in-n-out; it's better. In-N-Out I love you I always will you are my first love but Dannys is main bae now. I honestly can't even tell you what it tasted like because I ate. I took a bite, and everything happened so fast..and then I saw my daughter's burger sitting there ....all lonely...and then she said she wasn't hungry, and then it all happened so fast.....I ate a double, then a single, and I have no regrets.... and... Dannys Burger Shack is located in a plaza, the entrance is quite a ways back from the main road so drive slow homie or you'll miss it... parking is everywhere, service was excellent and they were quick about it.
Grabbed lunch on a Saturday at Danny's. It was busy at lunch time, but since there were only 2 of us, we were able to find a spot at the counter near the kitchen. They have a discount for union members, law enforcement officers and service members! Be sure to take advantage of it, if it applies to you. I got the burger of the month and my husband got a classic. Both were good, but the tots were perfect!! I'm a fan of a thicker burger, and Danny's is a very thin burger, so I wouldn't say these were my favorites, but they were good. The burger of the month was very slippery and difficult to keep in the bun, but flavor was good. I'd stop by again if in the area at a meal time.
There's a reason why Danny's Burger Shack has such a high average for reviews on Yelp, and spoiler alert: it's because they make damn good food. It's not often that I find myself in this part of the Northland but amid the strip malls, and chain restaurants, it was such a pleasant surprise to find such a little hidden gem tucked away in an unassuming part of the metro. I LOVE that they have carved out this little niche and are giving the folks that live in this part of town something unique and delicious to support. The day I popped in it was cold, and I had a ton of errands to run. I wasn't quite in the mood for beef as I'm a bit more of a chicken sandwich girlie, so after some talking with the cashier I picked out a chicken sandwich, and had to order some onion rings to go with it. Now the only downside to my whole visit was on me because I had to eat on the go, and eating this giant mouthwatering sandwich and rings in my car was not the best choice, but I had no regrets despite the chicken crumbs and onion ring scent that lingered in my car afterwards. Perhaps this is just a marketing ploy to remind me to go back sooner? Regardless all I can say is that the chicken sandwich rivaled the best I've had, and I can't wait to return. This is the spot for a classic burger or chicken sandwich. No frills, just a good meal.
